The Role
As the Digital Learning & Solutions Lead, you'll help elevate and improve digital learning across a well-established automotive training academy known for delivering high-quality training. Your focus will be to modernise the digital experience – not just through standalone digital content, but by creating digital solutions that work seamlessly alongside face-to-face training. This is a varied role that combines:
- Digital learning strategy
- Hands-on content creation
- Internal consultancy
- Working closely with stakeholders
- LMS and learning technology optimisation
You'll have plenty of autonomy to set the digital direction, with support from a capable team of training managers, instructional designers, learning designers and subject matter experts.
What You'll Be Doing
- Developing and embedding a clear digital and blended learning strategy.
- Refreshing and modernising digital learning content across multiple formats.
- Reviewing current offerings and spotting opportunities where digital tools can improve efficiency, accessibility and engagement.
- Working closely with training teams and SMEs to design and review digital learning solutions.
- Leading improvements to the Learning Management System (LMS) and its user experience.
- Coaching colleagues so they feel more confident with digital tools and approaches.
- Introducing innovative ideas – from AI-enabled learning to personalised pathways and analytics.
- Adapting and localising global digital content for UK learners.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and championing digital learning.
- Driving digital transformation through creative, learner-focused thinking.
Who We're Looking For
Essential Experience
- A strong background in digital learning, instructional design or learning technology.
- Comfortable working within blended learning environments.
- Able to design or support the creation of e-learning, video, animation and other digital resources.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Curious, innovative and passionate about modern learning approaches.
- Experience supporting or improving an LMS (Cornerstone experience is helpful but not essential).
Desirable Skills
- Experience with digital learning tools such as Articulate, Adobe, Vyond, etc.
- Basic HTML/CSS for small LMS customisations or troubleshooting.
- Experience managing external digital vendors.
- Understanding of AI-supported learning or digital learning analytics.
- Experience within the automotive or training provider sectors (useful, but absolutely not essential).

- Resilient, energetic and comfortable driving cultural change.
- Creative, curious and open to experimenting with new ideas.
- Confident leading digital direction and owning your projects.
- A clear, natural communicator who can influence at all levels.
Working Pattern
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite across Reading or Farnborough.
- UK travel to additional training sites from time to time.
- Occasional international travel.
Package
- £43,000 salary
- £4,200 car allowance
- Additional benefits package (details shared during the process)
