FIND is a specialist staffing business servicing the Skills, Learning, and Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We are representing an Ofsted grade 2 specialist financial services and insurance apprenticeship training provider. They have 1,500 apprentices on their books and will grow to 2,000 by the end of 2025. Due to growth, our client is seeking x2 Insurance Skills Coaches to join their team!

Location: This is a fully remote based role

Salary: Up to £40,000 (on experience)

About the job:

You will be responsible for the development of a cohort of apprentices against quality & various KPIs. Provide support & guidance throughout the apprentice's learner journey to ensure progression against key milestones including qualifications & competencies as defined by the standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct skills radar calls with apprentices to understand their starting points
  • Complete induction presentations & apprentice sign up administration
  • Run monthly meetings with apprentices in the workplace & remotely
  • Carry out group delivery sessions in line with the organisation's curriculum plan and Ofsted requirements
  • Respond to the apprentice's remote queries &/or support requirements
  • Measure & assess progress of the apprentice against the objectives & milestones of the agreed learner journey
  • Undertake bespoke projects to enhance and assist the business
  • Complete all required documentation to evidence learners work in line with quality requirements, including tracking learners off the job activities
  • Contextualise the learning outcomes to the apprentice's role & environment
  • Advise the apprentice how work-based experience can relate to development against the knowledge, skills and behaviours of the apprenticeship standard
  • Set activities to develop the apprentice's competence against the defined apprenticeship standard and learning outcomes
  • Advise and coach the apprentice on relevant evidence to support the creation of a portfolio of work in line with the end point assessment requirements
  • Support the apprentice in working towards their professional qualification
  • Escalate concerns over apprentice progress or employer support, in a timely manner to your line manager
  • Support the apprentice and their line manager to ensure the learner achieves by their planned end date
  • Support & coach the apprentice in preparation for end point assessment
  • Attend development / standardisation meetings as required by the business

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

Essential:

  • Experience in a similar role within the sector
  • At least five years occupational experience in the Insurance sector
  • Functional skills in maths and English at a minimum of Level 2
  • CII Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Insurance
  • Self-motivated, focused, and enthusiastic with the ability to work using own initiative
  • A passion for working with and supporting learners to achieve their goals
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentational skills
  • Excellent administrative and organisational abilities
  • Good IT skills, including all Microsoft office packages
  • Commitment to own continuous professional development
  • Full, clean UK driving license

Desirable:

  • Understanding EPA requirements and processes
  • Experience of working within Apprenticeships
  • Experience of working within a regulatory environment (Ofsted/ESFA)
  • Assessor qualified
  • Hold a teaching qualification
