Are you an experienced Fire & Security professional ready to pass on your skills to the next generation? We’re looking for a passionate and technically skilled individual to join a training team as a Fire & Security Systems Trainer. This role is ideal for experienced Fire and/or Security Engineers who want to take the next step in their career, moving from industry into teaching and mentoring apprentices. You don’t need prior training experience. Full support and a recognised teaching qualification will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering engaging, hands‑on training sessions to apprentices at our Gateshead Training Centre, helping them develop the practical and theoretical skills needed to succeed in the Fire & Security industry.
- Supporting learners of all experience levels, from new entrants to more advanced apprentices working toward industry‑recognised qualifications.
- Developing and updating course materials to reflect current industry standards, regulations, and technologies.
- Assessing and monitoring learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Ensuring all training meets quality and compliance requirements for apprenticeship delivery.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve learning delivery and learner outcomes.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong technical background in Fire & Security systems.
- A passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in delivering practical sessions and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to use digital tools and learning platforms to support teaching.
- Previous training or assessment experience is an advantage but not essential.
