FIND are a specialist staffing business, servicing the Skills, Learning & Apprenticeship markets across the UK. We\’re on the lookout for a Functional Skills Tutors to support with delivery of English & Maths to learners completing their vocational courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Functional Skills Delivery English & Maths provision for learners.
  • Deliver high-quality Functional Skills Classes adapting to various learning styles and needs to suit small groups of learners.
  • Ensure inclusive teaching strategies are embedded across the team.
  • Promote a positive learning environment that supports engagement, wellbeing, and progress.
  • Develop and implement effective schemes of work and curriculum planning tailored to individual learner needs.
  • Provide support of safeguarding measures.
  • Monitor and evaluate teaching and learning standards, carrying out observations and learning walks.
  • Track learner progress, outcomes, and achievement rates against key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure compliance with awarding bodies, funding requirements, and college policies.

Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, PTTLS)
  • Level 2 or above qualification in English and Maths.
  • Proven experience delivering Functional Skills – supporting learners with ALN\’s.

Salary up to £28,000 + additional benefits.
