£250-£350 per day indicative, dependent on assignment | Freelance | UK-wide opportunities
We are expanding a national network of freelance trainers, tutors and assessors for a growing provider of short, employment-focused training programmes. With courses already being scheduled and further delivery planned, we are keen to hear from trainers across a wide range of vocational disciplines.
The opportunity
Deliver practical, engaging short courses for adults and young people facing barriers to employment, in community and potentially prison-based settings. Assignments vary by subject, location and duration, typically ranging from several days to around two weeks. You can discuss availability and preferred travel areas before accepting individual assignments.
Specialisms we are recruiting across
- Construction: CSCS/CITB health and safety, CPCS, NPORS, vehicle/plant marshalling and related practical skills.
- LANTRA, NRSWA street works, EUSR (including CAT & Genny and safe digging), CABWI and utilities.
- Health and safety, manual handling, first aid and fire safety.
- SIA security: door supervision, security guarding and CCTV.
- Retail, customer service and hospitality.
- Health and social care.
- Warehousing, logistics, agrifood/agritech and other vocational disciplines.
What you'll do
- Deliver classroom and/or practical training to varied learner groups.
- Prepare learners for qualifications and assessments where applicable.
- Adapt delivery to maintain engagement, confidence and work readiness.
- Complete attendance, assessment and compliance documentation accurately.
- Maintain safeguarding, professionalism and awarding-body standards.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrable experience delivering adult or vocational training and relevant industry expertise.
- A teaching or assessing qualification, ideally Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) or equivalent.
- Current specialist qualifications, approvals or instructor accreditations for regulated courses such as CPCS, NPORS, LANTRA, EUSR, CABWI, NRSWA, SIA or CITB, as applicable.
- Strong communication, reliability and willingness to travel to delivery venues.
- Experience with DWP-funded provision, Skills Bootcamps, employability or prison education is advantageous. Existing prison vetting is especially welcome.
Rates and assignments
Indicative day rates are £250-£350, with the rate confirmed for each assignment according to course specialism, duration, location and contract budget. Opportunities are UK-wide; the volume and timing of assignments depend on programme demand and your availability.
