An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and proactive School Administrator/ Student Support to join a supportive and dynamic team at an independent school.
The successful candidatewill be a Graduate and will play a key role in the day-to-day administration of the school, acting as the first point of contact for visitors, families, and staff, ensuring the smooth running of the school\’s front office and reception area.
This role will also require the successful candidate to carry our Teaching Assistant duties as and when required, from time to time.
Salary to £25K, on site role every day.
Please note this is an entry level position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day reception duties, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and greeting visitors.
- Support class teachers as needed to cover breaktimes, school trips and other ad-hoc sessions.
- Maintain accurate pupil data and assist with financial transaction records.
- Organise and distribute letters, newsletters, and progress reports to families.
- Oversee the safe and secure handling of pupil medication.
- Process incoming and outgoing post, ensuring timely delivery.
- Support the leadership team with diary management and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies.
- Interact professionally with pupils, especially those with social, emotional, and behavioural needs, maintaining a calm and supportive approach.
Person Specification:
- Excellent communication skills with children, families, and staff.
- A Graduate
- Strong organisational abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Experience in an administrative role, ideally within an educational environment.
Qualifications:
- A degree (preferably 2:1 or above)
- A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above.
- Experience in a similar administrative or secretarial role, ideally in a school setting.
