FIND are working with a rapidly-growing company in the Hire-Train-Deploy market, who specialise in recruiting, training & then deploying tech consultants into FTSE 250 companies.
They’re looking to hire a Data Engineering Trainer/Coach, responsible for leading on their Data Engineering Pathway / Programme.
You’ll be responsible for lead training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions to Junior / Graduate Data Engineers, and will be lead on any future changes to the programme, ensuring it’s always in-line with emerging tools, trends & technologies within Data Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Training delivery:
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions & workshops focused on key Data Engineering concepts, tools & technologies. This could include: coding, data pipelines, ETL / ELT processes, cloud computing, databases & data warehousing.
Hands-On Coaching:
- Provide hands-on guidance & coaching to junior Data Engineers, ensuring they understand and can implement real-world solutions. Help them solve complex data engineering problems using your own industry experience.
Mentorship:
- Act as a mentor, offering insights into best practices & industry trends data engineering. Support the personal and professional growth of junior engineers, helping them build confidence and independence.
Industry Expertise:
- Bring your real-life project experience into the training sessions to create practical, relevant learning opportunities. Incorporate case studies, live project scenarios, and practical challenges into the learning process.
Collaboration & Programme Development
- Work closely with other internal trainers, engineers & leadership to ensure alignment of training objectives with company goals. Contribute to curriculum enhancements based on emerging technologies and best practices
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in data engineering and related fields. Continuously refine training materials to keep up with industry advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years industry experience as a Data Engineer, or in a related field (Machine Learning Engineer / AI Engineer / Data Architect / Data Scientist)
- Strong Python & SQL experience
- Strong AWS, Azure or GCP experience (doesn’t matter which one!)
- Excellent communication & presentation / delivery skills
- Ability & confidence to lead training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching sessions, inspiring confidence and growth in learners.
Previous Training or Coaching experience would be nice, but IS NOT a requirement
(e.g Trainer / Instructor / Teacher / Lecturer / Coach / Mentor / Educator)
This is a hybrid working role, that will require you to be on-site in Central London 3 days per week.
Salary range is £70,000 – £100,000
