NES Fircroft on behalf of leading Oil & Gas operator, is hiring experienced Instrument Technicians to join their offshore teams in the UK North Sea.
This is a great opportunity to work with a major operator on a long-term contract.
Contract Details:
- Duration: 3 years contract with high potential for extension
- Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 12-hour shifts
- Mobilisation Base: Norwich
- Day Rate: PAYE
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Valid BOSIET, MIST, and Offshore Medical with no restrictions.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry (onshore/offshore), including a time-served trade apprenticeship.
- Compex Certification
- Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a multi-skilled team to safely operate and maintain offshore processing facilities.
- Maximise plant availability for gas processing from offshore fields.
- Plan and execute preventative maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with standards and minimising production impact.
- Complete Maximo work orders and generate new work requests for equipment failures.
- Support projects, liaising with vendors and subcontractors as required.
- Manage spares and test gases for testing/calibration of gas monitors.
- Ensure strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
Safety-Critical Tasks:
- Maintenance of Shutdown/Blowdown Valves and Extinguishant Systems.
- Fire & Gas Systems hardware operation and testing.
- Maintenance of Fixed and Portable Gas Detectors, Level Measurement Equipment, and Nucleonic Devices.
- Testing and maintenance of Pressure and Temperature Measurement Equipment.
- Safe operation and testing of Safety Instrumented Systems.
