Migrant Help have an exciting opportunity to recruit an Event Assistant Apprentice to join our team on a full time, 18-24 month apprenticeship (with potential to be extended or made permanent upon completion). In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £22,995 per annum.

The Event Assistant Apprentice role: Part of the Communications team, the Events Assistant Apprentice is a new and exciting role at Migrant Help. You will provide administration support to Migrant Help's Senior Event Coordinator and wider Communications Team. The Event Assistant (Level 3) Apprentice will aid with tasks related to our busy events portfolio which includes high profile events with key stakeholders, staff conferences, campaigns, and fundraising events and activities. You will aid with event planning and preparation and also assist to deliver events at locations across the UK.

Key responsibilities of our Event Assistant Apprentice:

  • Assisting with administrative tasks relating to our events portfolio
  • Answering queries in the events and communication inboxes, providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Attending events and contributing to an exceptional experience for all attendees
  • Assisting the Senior Event Coordinator with researching event dates, venues, prices and contracts in a timely manner to achieve best value and terms
  • Aid with printing, packing and posting event resources from Dover prior to events
  • Frequent travel to attend events, meetings in person, as well as site visits in line with the needs of the role
  • Work with the Senior Event Coordinator to update project plans outlining deliverables, key dates, deadlines and budget tracking, keeping key stakeholders informed on progress
