AutoCAD Technician – Fabrications

Salary: 25,000 – 30,000
Location: Sheffield
Hours: 37 per week (Mon-Thu 08:00-16:30, Fri 08:00-15:30)
Benefits: Private medical insurance, bonus scheme

Overview:

Metalis are currently supporting a leading engineering company in Sheffield who are seeking an AutoCAD Technician to join their close-knit, supportive design team. The role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone with 1-2 years\’ experience in technical drawing.

This is a fixed on site office role, the company does not work remote or hybrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D AutoCAD site layouts and section drawings
  • Produce drawings for sheet metal fabrication products
  • Assist in developing BOMs and production drawings
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and managers
  • Maintain and organise technical documents according to internal processes

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D, some basic 3D
  • Good telephone manner and communication skills
  • Previous experience with fabrication or building support drawings is desirable but not essential
