When I asked the MLRO what they need, it was clear: Someone who deeply understands how sanctions risks apply to trade finance. You will thrive in this role if you live, laugh, love sanctions. Maybe it is all you talk about. That would be perfect.
You will work with the front office, advising on sanctions, transactions and clients. You will also work with the 1LOD, being the main point of contact for sanctions escalations. Working with the MLRO you will advise on policy, procedures as well as keeping up to date with sanctions changes and horizon scanning.
