We're looking for a compliance person who has experience in the Payments sector to play a key role in delivering high-quality regulatory and compliance advisory services to a diverse portfolio of financial services firms. This is an opportunity to be a market leader in the Payments pace, helping clients navigate complex regulatory environments.
The role:
You will lead client engagements, provide expert regulatory guidance, and support the development of junior consultants. You'll combine deep technical expertise with commercial awareness, acting as a trusted adviser to clients while contributing to thought leadership, business development, and team growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and develop long-term client relationships within the payments sector.
- Deliver high-quality consultancy services in line with agreed client engagements.
- Advise clients on FCA regulatory requirements and ongoing compliance obligations.
- Conduct compliance monitoring reviews, gap analyses, and regulatory assessments.
- Support firms with FCA applications, variations of permission, change-in-control projects, and regulatory reporting.
- Review marketing and financial promotions to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Deliver regulatory training and practical guidance to clients.
Technical Leadership:
- Act as a subject matter expert on key regulatory topics.
- Produce regulatory updates, thought leadership content, and market insights.
- Develop and oversee compliance frameworks, policies, procedures, and governance documentation.
- Research complex regulatory issues and provide practical solutions for clients and colleagues.
- Contribute to methodology development and continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
- Significant regulatory or compliance experience within the payments sector with strong knowledge of topics like Consumer Duty, Safeguarding etc.
- Strong knowledge of FCA regulations, authorisations, compliance monitoring, and risk frameworks.
- Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
- A commercial mindset and a passion for delivering outstanding client outcome.
