This is a great role and I am looking for someone who has experience in conducting AML investigations as part of the Transaction Monitoring function. In this role, you will have responsibility for investigating transactions specifically related to Merchant Acquiring and Business Accounts.
Your experience:
- Conduct in-depth AML investigations and transaction monitoring for merchant acquiring and business banking clients, analyzing payment patterns, chargebacks, and settlement flows to detect potential money laundering or fraud.
- Review and assess merchant onboarding and ongoing due diligence, ensuring compliance with KYC, CDD, and EDD standards specific to high-risk merchant industries.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, and payments operations teams to identify unusual transaction behaviours, escalate suspicious activities, and prepare detailed SAR/STR reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Utilize data analytics and monitoring tools to enhance transaction surveillance frameworks, optimizing rule parameters and scenarios to align with merchant risk typologies and evolving AML regulations.
