About Us: Finch Woods Academy caters for primary and secondary-aged pupils who present with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) and complex needs. The academy provides personalised care and support to empower every pupil to gain qualifications, develop essential social skills, and build self-confidence for a happy and fulfilling future.

Key Requirements:

  • We are looking to recruit 3 Teaching Assistants who are committed to improving the outcomes and life chances of young people with complex special educational needs.
  • The successful candidates will have had experience of working with children with additional needs and behavioural difficulties.
  • An interest in Phonics, Science, Music and/or ICT is desirable, but not essential.
  • The new Teaching Assistants will be able to work as part of a dedicated and committed team of professionals in a range of academic and pastoral areas.
  • Candidates must be able to build positive relationships and manage pupils’ behaviour effectively within a classroom environment.
  • An ability to be proactive, resourceful and energetic is essential.
