As the business prepares for a planned exit within the next 12–18 months, this role will be instrumental in supporting the delivery of the investment thesis, enhancing enterprise value, and ensuring the organisation is optimally positioned for a successful sale process. You will work closely with the executive team and shareholders to drive strategic initiatives, execute acquisitions, and support exit readiness activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • M&A Origination & Execution
    • Develop and execute the company's acquisition strategy in line with growth and value creation objectives.
    • Identify, assess and prioritise acquisition opportunities across target markets and sectors.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with founders, shareholders, advisers and industry stakeholders to generate proprietary deal flow.
    • Lead the end-to-end M&A process from origination through to completion and integration.
  • Exit Preparation & Value Creation
    • Partner with the CEO, CFO and investors to support the business's planned exit process within the next 12–18 months.
    • Help shape and execute strategic initiatives designed to maximise shareholder value and enhance the investment proposition.
    • Support the preparation of investor materials, management presentations and commercial analysis required for a sale process.
    • Coordinate with advisers and internal stakeholders to ensure the business is exit-ready from an operational, financial and strategic perspective.
    • Assist in responding to buyer due diligence requests and supporting management throughout the transaction process.
  • Integration & Synergy Delivery
    • Lead post-acquisition integration activities and ensure delivery of identified synergies and value creation opportunities.
    • Work with senior leadership teams to monitor acquisition performance and realise investment case objectives.
Experience
  • Proven track record leading M&A transactions from origination through execution and integration.
  • Experience within private equity-backed businesses, corporate development teams, investment banking or private equity environments.
