Finatal is working with a leading global tech-focused private equity fund looking for an experienced individual to join the Tech Investor team. This is a unique opportunity to join a close-knit, growing team in a fund that offers unparalleled exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Origination & Market Leadership
    • Lead sourcing of new investment opportunities within technology subsectors
    • Build and own proprietary deal flow channels (founders, intermediaries, corporates, advisors)
    • Develop and drive sector theses and thematic investment strategies
    • Represent the firm externally as a senior investment professional in the tech ecosystem
  • Transaction Leadership
    • Lead end-to-end execution of transactions including structuring, negotiation, and due diligence oversight
    • Manage cross-functional deal teams (associates, advisors, consultants)
    • Drive investment committee papers and present recommendations to Partners and IC
    • Take primary responsibility for deal conviction and underwriting
  • Portfolio Value Creation
    • Sit on portfolio company boards where appropriate
    • Work directly with partners and management teams on growth strategy, pricing, M&A, and operational improvement
    • Oversee key transformation initiatives across portfolio assets
  • Firm Contribution
    • Contribute to fund strategy, sector focus, and investment philosophy
    • Support fundraising discussions with LPs where required
    • Mentor and develop junior investment professionals

Requirements:

  • Senior-level experience within Investing (6+ years)
  • Proven track record of leading or co-leading transactions
  • Strong origination capability and established network within the technology ecosystem
  • Experience working with management teams in high-growth or scale-up environments
  • An exceptional academic track record
  • Ability to operate effectively within a lean, high-performing environment
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills required
  • European languages skills highly desirable (particularly German, Swedish, French, Dutch)
