We are looking for an experienced Regional Controller to take ownership of the financial control and reporting function across our Nordic entities. This is a senior, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of technical accounting and operational finance, responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance and consistency across a complex, multi-entity structure spanning multiple jurisdictions.

You will act as the financial lead for the Nordic region, partnering closely with the Group Financial Controller and local business stakeholders to drive robust financial processes, ensure statutory compliance across each jurisdiction, and provide reliable reporting up to group level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the end-to-end financial control function across Nordic entities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of local and group reporting.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts across multiple jurisdictions in compliance with local GAAP and IFRS where applicable.
  • Lead the month-end close process for the region, delivering timely and accurate results to group.
  • Ensure full tax compliance across the Nordic region, including corporate tax, VAT and any local filing obligations, working with local advisors where required.
  • Oversee intercompany accounting and reconciliations across entities, ensuring alignment with group policies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for local auditors and tax authorities across the region.
  • Maintain and develop a strong internal control environment, identifying and addressing risks across the regional entity structure.
  • Support the Group Financial Controller on technical accounting matters and the rollout of group-wide accounting policies.
  • Partner with finance teams and business stakeholders across the region to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data feeding into group consolidation.
  • Drive process improvement and systems development across the regional control function, with particular focus on NetSuite.
What We're Looking For
  • ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualification, ideally with a practice background.
  • Proven experience in a financial controller or senior accounting role within a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction structure.
  • Strong working knowledge of Nordic accounting, tax and statutory requirements — experience across two or more Nordic countries highly desirable.
  • Solid technical accounting skills, with confidence across IFRS and local GAAP frameworks.
  • Experience working within a SaaS, tech or high-growth environment.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scaling business where processes are still being built and improved.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to work across international teams and present clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing deadlines across multiple entities.
