A high-growth, Private Equity-backed international SaaS business is seeking an exceptional Senior Head of FP&A to play a pivotal role in the next phase of its value creation journey. With revenues exceeding £200m and EBITDA of approximately £90m, the group has established itself as a market-leading software platform operating across the UK, Europe and North America. Backed by a leading Private Equity investor, the business is executing an ambitious growth strategy driven by both organic expansion and a highly active M&A agenda.

Reporting directly to an accomplished, Private Equity-experienced CFO, the Senior Head of FP&A will own and lead all forward-looking financial planning, forecasting, modelling and commercial analytics activities across the group. This is a highly visible role with direct exposure to the Private Equity investment team, Board members, Executive Leadership Team and senior operational leaders internationally. This is not a traditional reporting role. It is a commercially focused, strategic and highly influential position designed to help shape decision-making, improve performance visibility and support the business in becoming fully exit-ready.

The successful individual will inherit a function with strong foundations but significant opportunity for further professionalisation. Operating in a lean structure, supported by one Analyst, they will be expected to be hands-on, pragmatic and capable of rolling up their sleeves to elevate standards, improve processes and create a best-in-class FP&A capability. The role will sit at the centre of strategic decision making, helping leadership understand performance drivers, identify opportunities and risks, and ensure resources are allocated effectively across the group.

Alongside commercial finance leadership, the Senior Head of FP&A will play a critical role in supporting the ongoing implementation of NetSuite ERP, helping design future-state reporting capabilities, data structures, automation initiatives and AI-enabled analytical solutions that improve efficiency and insight generation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision making, M&A activity, investment cases and value creation initiatives.
  • Lead monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting cycles across multiple international business units.
  • Design and implement a best-in-class KPI framework aligned to the group's strategic objectives.
  • Deliver insightful commercial analysis to support Executive and Board-level decision making.
  • Act as a key finance business partner to senior operational leaders across the UK, Europe and North America.
  • Build trusted relationships with the CFO, Private Equity investment team and Board members.
  • Drive improvements in planning, forecasting accuracy and overall financial visibility.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation of NetSuite across the group.
  • Champion automation, data enhancement and AI-driven initiatives that improve reporting quality and efficiency.
  • Develop Power BI reporting suites and dashboards that provide actionable business insight.
  • Support value creation planning and preparation for a future Private Equity exit process.
  • Help establish scalable finance processes capable of supporting continued growth and acquisition integration.
The Requirements

This opportunity requires an individual with the capability, ambition and presence to operate comfortably in a highly commercial, fast-paced and intellectually demanding environment. The successful candidate will be a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and will likely have built their career within high-growth, Private Equity-backed, technology, software or international services environments. They will possess exceptional analytical capability, strong commercial judgement and the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders constructively when required. Equally important is mindset. The business is seeking someone who is naturally inquisitive, intellectually curious and relentlessly driven to understand the 'why' behind the numbers. This is an environment where pace, energy and continuous improvement are highly valued. The successful individual will thrive in ambiguity, enjoy solving complex problems and be motivated by the opportunity to help shape a business through a transformational period.

Desired Background
  • Fully qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Significant experience within FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance leadership roles.
  • Experience operating in Private Equity-backed, high-growth and/or international environments.
  • Strong financial modelling and forecasting expertise.
  • Advanced Power BI capability.
  • Exposure to ERP implementation, transformation or finance systems projects.
  • Demonstrable experience driving automation and data-led decision making.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing senior executives and Boards.
  • Experience supporting M&A integration, value creation programmes or exit readiness initiatives would be highly advantageous.
Culture & Environment

This is a business defined by ambition, pace and accountability. The culture is energetic, collaborative and commercially focused, bringing together high-calibre leaders who are passionate about growth and execution. Decisions are made quickly, ownership is encouraged and individuals are empowered to make a genuine impact. The successful candidate will join a leadership team that values intellectual curiosity, constructive challenge and continuous improvement. They will be given significant exposure, responsibility and the opportunity to influence outcomes at the highest level of the organisation. For an ambitious finance leader seeking a career-defining opportunity, few roles will offer the same combination of strategic exposure, executive visibility, transformational impact and future progression potential. This is a rare opportunity to help shape a market-leading international SaaS business through its next phase of growth and ultimately play a key role in delivering a successful Private Equity exit.
