The Role
Finatal is partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing consumer brands in the search for a Senior Accountant. Having built a significant presence across multiple markets and experienced rapid expansion, the business is continuing to invest heavily in its finance function to support the next phase of growth. The company is renowned for its strong brand, ambitious culture, and entrepreneurial approach to scaling operations.
Working closely with a high-performing finance leadership team, this role will take ownership of core financial accounting activities, statutory reporting, and month-end processes while helping to strengthen controls and build scalable finance processes. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across the organisation, partnering with operations, supply chain, people teams, and external stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Ownership of month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes
- Preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS
- Managing intercompany accounting and reconciliations across multiple entities
- Ensuring balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and controls
- Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Supporting external audits and managing relationships with auditors
- Assisting with tax compliance, VAT, payroll and broader regulatory reporting requirements
- Reviewing accounting treatments and providing support on technical accounting matters
- Driving process improvement initiatives and enhancing financial controls
- Supporting supplier payments, accounting operations and expense management
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Assisting with the continued development and scaling of the finance function
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant
- Strong technical financial accounting and reporting experience
- Experience preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP and/or IFRS
- Background within consumer, retail, hospitality, leisure or multi-site businesses preferred
- Strong understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and controls
