  • About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a private equity-backed insurance business (c. 200m revenue) to appoint an

Interim FP&A Manager during a pivotal stage of the company's growth and exit journey.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will take ownership of the FP&A function, ensuring the business has the financial insight, reporting, forecasting, and commercial support required to successfully navigate a future transaction process.

This is a highly visible role with broad exposure across the organisation, acting as the key link between finance and the wider business.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting decision‑making, enhancing financial visibility, and ensuring the leadership team has robust information to drive performance and maximise shareholder value.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes across the business.
  • Owning monthly management reporting and delivering high‑quality financial insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting the CFO with board reporting, investor reporting, and strategic financial analysis.
  • Developing and maintaining financial models to support planning, decision‑making, and value creation initiatives.
  • Partnering closely with commercial and operational teams to understand performance drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Delivering meaningful KPI reporting and analysis to support business performance.
  • Conducting scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic initiatives and transaction planning.
  • Supporting cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
  • Acting as a key business partner across the organisation, challenging assumptions and improving financial understanding.
  • Supporting transaction readiness activities through the provision of robust financial information and analysis.
  • Driving continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting, and systems.

About You

We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate

  • Previous experience within FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Business Partnering, or Strategic Finance roles.
  • Experience within the insurance sector is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience working within a private equity‑backed or fast‑paced commercial environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights.
  • Advanced Excel and financial planning skills.
  • A proactive and hands‑on approach with the ability to operate autonomously.
