Finatal is retained on a confidential search for a leading Private Equity fund with multi-billion AUM, with a strong track record of investing across healthcare and related services.

With an active portfolio and a pipeline of recent acquisitions across Europe, the fund is seeking to appoint an Operating Partner to support value creation across its investments.

This is a high-priority, high-impact hire, focused on driving operational transformation and preparing assets for exit.

The Role:

As Operating Partner, you will work directly with the investment team, portfolio leadership, and senior stakeholders, playing a critical role in delivering tangible value creation across multiple portfolio businesses.

This is a hands-on execution role, requiring a balance of strategic oversight and operational delivery, with the ability to embed within businesses where required.

You will act as a trusted partner to both the fund and portfolio CEOs, ensuring transformation initiatives are delivered at pace and aligned to exit objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Partnering:

• Act as a key partner to the investment team and portfolio leadership, driving value creation strategies across newly acquired and existing assets.
• Support CEOs and management teams in translating investment theses into clear, actionable transformation plans, aligned to growth, performance, and exit outcomes.
• Engage directly with senior stakeholders, building credibility quickly and operating as a trusted advisor at Board and executive level.

Value Creation & Transformation:

• Lead and deliver end-to-end transformation programmes across portfolio businesses, including operational improvement, financial performance, and organisational optimisation.
• Drive initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, margin improvement, and performance enhancement, ensuring measurable impact.
• Embed within portfolio companies where required to accelerate execution and unblock critical initiatives.

Operational & Sector Excellence:

• Bring strong operational judgement across complex, multi-site and multi-entity environments, ideally within healthcare or adjacent sectors.
• Support integration of acquisitions, ensuring alignment of processes, systems, and performance frameworks across the portfolio.
• Identify and implement best practices across portfolio companies, leveraging cross-platform learnings to drive consistency and improvement.

Performance Driven Leadership:

• Operate as a hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves operator, capable of delivering results in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
• Drive accountability across portfolio businesses through clear KPIs, performance tracking, and execution discipline.
• Play a key role in exit preparation, ensuring businesses are operationally and financially ready for transaction.

Key Requirements:

• Proven track record of value creation within Private Equity-backed environments

• Strong experience across transformation, performance improvement, and exit readiness

• Demonstrated ability to operate as a hands-on operator, delivering tangible impact

• Experience working across multiple portfolio companies and acquisitions

• Background can be flexible (MBB a plus, consulting, industry, or operating roles) but must demonstrate credible execution capability

• Strong stakeholder management, with the ability to influence at Partner, Board, and CEO level

• Ideally exposure to healthcare or regulated environments, though not essential
