The Opportunity
Partnered with a leading mid-market private equity fund, they are about to complete the acquisition of a professional services firm, looking for an interim CFO to support with post-acquisition professionalisation. With a growth investment thesis centered on a buy-and-build strategy, they will need someone to get the business prepared for its growth phase.
The Role
Working closely with the CEO and investors, you will take ownership of the finance function during a transformational phase, balancing day-to-day performance with strategic growth delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and stabilise the finance function, ensuring robust controls, reporting, and cash management
- Partner with the CEO and PE investors to deliver professionalisation and the growth plan
- Support M&A activity across Europe, including due diligence, financial structuring, and integration
- Support integration of acquisitions and drive synergy realisation
- Manage key external stakeholders, including lenders, advisors, and auditors
Candidate Profile
- Proven Interim CFO experience within PE-backed businesses
- Strong track record in buy-and-build environments and M&A execution/integration
- Background in professional services, B2B services, or similar asset-light models
- Hands-on leader with the ability to operate at pace and deliver in ambiguous environments
- Strong stakeholder management, including PE sponsors and lenders
