About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading FMCG business to recruit an Interim Commercial Finance Business Partner. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional to join a fast-paced and evolving organisation during a key period of growth and transformation.
Working closely with senior commercial, sales and operational stakeholders, you will provide financial insight, challenge, and support to drive performance across the business. The role requires a strong business partner who can quickly build relationships, influence decision‑making, and deliver actionable commercial recommendations.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with commercial and operational teams to support strategic and day‑to‑day decision‑making.
- Delivering insightful financial analysis to drive revenue growth and profitability.
- Supporting forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes.
- Analysing customer, product, and channel profitability to identify opportunities and risks.
- Providing robust challenge to commercial teams around performance, pricing, and investment decisions.
- Developing business cases, financial models, and investment appraisals.
- Monitoring KPIs and delivering meaningful performance reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Identifying risks and opportunities and supporting mitigation plans.
- Supporting ongoing transformation, process improvement, and value creation initiatives.
- Contributing to ad‑hoc commercial projects and strategic initiatives as required.
About You

- Previous experience in a Commercial Finance Business Partner or Finance Business Partner role.
- FMCG, retail, consumer, manufacturing, or distribution sector experience.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- A track record of delivering insight that drives business performance.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to challenge constructively.
- The ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced environment and quickly add value in an interim capacity.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP and reporting systems.
