Finatal is working with a well-established mid / lower mid-market private equity fund based in London that is looking to hire a Portfolio Value Creation / Transformation professional to work closely with investment teams and portfolio company management.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a hands-on PE investor with a strong track record of driving operational improvement, professionalisation and growth across its portfolio. The role will sit at the heart of the value creation agenda, partnering with deal teams from pre-deal through exit.
The preferred candidate will have had prior experience in a direct private equity investing role.
The Role:
- Supporting value creation planning during pre-deal and post-acquisition phases
- Partnering with management teams to drive operational improvement initiatives
- Leading and supporting transformation projects across key value levers (commercial, operational, digital, pricing, systems, people)
- Supporting professionalisation of portfolio companies (KPIs, reporting, governance, cadence)
- Assisting with 100-day plans and longer-term strategic roadmaps
- Working closely with investment teams to track value creation progress and impact
- Supporting exit readiness initiatives, including equity story development and data preparation
- Engaging with third-party advisors and operating partners where required
Requirements:
- Prior private equity investing experience is essential
- Experience in portfolio value creation, transformation, operations or strategy, ideally within private equity, consulting, or an operating role in a PE-backed business
- Strong commercial and analytical skillset with the ability to translate strategy into execution
- Comfortable working directly with senior management teams and PE investment professionals
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple workstreams in parallel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on, pragmatic mindset with a genuine interest in driving change
- Team player with high levels of integrity, energy and a “can-do” attitude
