A leading European Private Equity fund is hiring an Operations Professional to join its Value Creation / Operating team in London. The firm invests in listed and privately held small‑to mid‑cap businesses across Europe and takes an active, hands‑on approach to improving performance. Its investments often involve complex value‑creation situations, from strategic repositioning and digital transformation to bolt‑on M&A and operational improvement.
This role sits at the intersection of the Investment and Operating teams, helping to drive the strategic and operational agenda across portfolio companies.
Key Responsibilities- Support senior team members in shaping and executing value creation plans for portfolio assets.
- Conduct industry mapping and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and potential acquisitions.
- Partner with portfolio management teams to streamline operations, digitalise workflows, and strengthen leadership teams.
- Codify and implement standardised performance management frameworks across assets (strategic planning, KPI tracking, balanced scorecard, productivity initiatives).
- Participate in quarterly reviews, troubleshooting, and ongoing portfolio performance analysis.
- Must have a consultancy background (MBB preferred).
- 5+ years’ commercial experience across multiple sectors.
- Demonstrated success in process optimisation, transformation, or value creation initiatives.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, excellent command of Microsoft Office.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and a fast‑paced, lean environment.
- High EQ and strong communication skills; collaborative and non‑political approach.
