We are supporting a private equity-backed media post-production business with the appointment of a Group Accountant to strengthen the group finance function during a period of continued growth and operational scaling. The business operates across multiple production and creative service entities, supporting high-profile clients across advertising, film, television, and digital media. Following recent investment and expansion, the finance team is looking to enhance group reporting capability, strengthen controls, and improve consolidation processes across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly group consolidations across multiple UK and international entities
- Support the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Maintain and improve group reporting processes and consolidation procedures
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliation and review processes
- Support preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate audit requirements across the group
- Assist with technical accounting matters and group accounting policy application
- Partner with local finance teams to improve reporting consistency and controls
- Support acquisition accounting and integration activities where required
- Assist with finance transformation and reporting improvement initiatives
Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting expertise
- Proven experience operating within a Group Accountant or Group Financial Accountant role
- Strong consolidation experience within a multi-entity environment is essential
- Experience within media, creative, production, or professional services businesses is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of IFRS and group reporting requirements
- Hands-on approach with strong attention to detail
- Experience operating within private equity-backed or fast-growth businesses preferred
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
