Finatal is partnered with a US B2B SaaS and Private Equity backed business with a turnover of 60m, and they are looking for a Global Corporate Controller. This role will be fully remote. The Global Corporate Controller will report to and partner with the CFO, and will work closely with the CEO and the Private Equity firm. This person will manage and scale the global accounting organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting operations, revenue accounting, order to cash, international FX currency, consolidations, sales commissions, audit, tax, global month end close and financial systems for legal entities in the US, UK, Belgium, Germany, Israel and India.
- Create and scale finance and accounting function that exhibits leadership, communication, accountability, timeliness and value-added behaviour.
- Drive scalable, reliable monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and consolidated management reporting of results, operating metrics, and flux analyses.
- Leverage technology including AI to build scalable/sustainable processes to create efficiencies, streamline accounting operations and improve employee experience.
- Develop, enhance, implement and enforce global accounting policies, procedures and FX practices to improve operations and reduce risks. Be the centre of excellence for operational efficiency and technical accounting knowledge.
- Establish a high-performance culture among direct reports by building trust and accountability.
- Ensure timely and successful completion of all global annual GAAP and statutory audits (domestic and international subsidiaries).
- Provide financial guidance on revenue recognition implications on customer contracts, technical accounting and financial reporting issues.
- Manage treasury activities including intercompany transfers, transfer pricing and FX considerations.
- Implementation of ERP.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Corporate Controller experience within a growing and acquisitive SaaS and multinational accounting environment.
- Extensive experience in a fast growth corporate environment, including skills that drive scalable processes that can drive increasing profitability.
- Command of complex consolidations.
- Working knowledge of tax compliance regulations and reporting.
- Experience with setting up, operating accounting processes for foreign subsidiaries, oversight of European finance teams and insourcing to India overseas accounting functions and responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SaaS company reporting, and compliance considerations.
- Corporate controller experience within a private equity SaaS organization.
- Experience with NetSuite.
- Ability to travel to the US, Europe and Asia as required β likely travel component is 1-2 weeks every 3-6 months.
- CPA or ACA and Masters in Accounting or MBA required.
