The Business
We are partnering with a high-growth, private equity–backed professional services business that is scaling rapidly through organic growth and acquisition. With a strong market position and an ambitious value-creation plan, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business in build mode, working closely with senior leadership and PE stakeholders. The finance function is well established, with a high-calibre team of 10–12, and is now looking to strengthen its technical capability with the hire of a Finance & Tax Manager.
The Role
This is a broad, hands-on role with ownership across technical accounting, tax, and statutory reporting, operating in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment. You will act as a key technical expert within finance, supporting growth, transactions, and increasing complexity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of statutory accounts, technical accounting papers, and year-end processes
- Leading on UK tax matters including corporation tax, VAT, and liaising with external advisors
- Supporting PE-level reporting, including technical inputs for board and investor materials
- Providing technical guidance across the finance team and wider business
- Supporting M&A activity, integrations, and group structuring from a finance and tax perspective
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and evolving regulatory requirements
- Driving continuous improvement in controls, processes, and documentation
