We are supporting a PE-backed UK waste management business as it strengthens its data and reporting capability to support real-time operational and financial insight. The business is investing in its data architecture to enable accurate, scalable dashboards and reporting, moving away from fragmented or manual processes.
We are seeking an interim Data Consultant with strong experience designing data pipelines and building data warehouses that underpin reliable, real-time reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data pipelines from source systems into a central data warehouse
- Establish a robust data warehouse architecture to support dashboards and analytics
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across reporting outputs
- Work closely with finance and operational stakeholders to understand reporting requirements
- Enable real-time or near-real-time reporting for decision-making
- Support dashboard consumption by downstream BI / reporting tools
- Proven experience as an interim Data Consultant / Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer
- Strong background building data pipelines and data warehouses
- Experience supporting reporting, dashboards, and MI for operational or finance teams
- Comfortable operating in PE-backed or fast-paced environments
- Able to work autonomously and deliver tangible outcomes
- Exposure to waste management, environmental services, utilities, or asset-light industrial services
- Experience working alongside ERP or finance systems
- Previous engagement in data modernisation or reporting uplift programmes
