Finatal are recruiting for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – £30m ARR, PE-backed SaaS Business (London, Surrey and Kent)

Finatal are recruiting on behalf of a high-growth, private equity–backed SaaS business generating c.£30m ARR, with an ambitious exit planned for 2027. With offices in London, Surrey and Kent, the business is scaling rapidly across the UK and internationally, and requires an exceptional CFO to help steer the organisation through its next phase of expansion, optimisation, and value creation.

The Role
The CFO will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, owning the financial agenda and ensuring the business is fully prepared for a successful exit. This is a highly commercial role requiring a hands‐on leader capable of driving performance, strengthening financial controls, and building a best‐in‐class finance function that supports continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the financial strategy, ensuring robust planning, forecasting, and reporting processes are in place.

Partner closely with the SLT and PE stakeholders to deliver growth targets and operational improvements.

Drive KPI visibility and commercial analytics to enhance decision‐making and customer‐level performance.

Oversee the development of scalable financial systems, processes, and teams suitable for a business approaching a liquidity event.

Manage cashflow, budgeting, and working capital to support ongoing expansion.

Play a central role in M&A evaluation and integration where relevant.

Prepare the business for exit in 2027, including readiness activities, investor materials, and due‐diligence preparation.

The Candidate

An experienced SaaS or recurring‐revenue CFO with a proven track record in private equity environments.

Strong exposure to scaling technology businesses, ideally with ARR of £20m–£50m+.

Demonstrable experience leading or supporting a successful exit.

Highly commercial, data‐driven, and comfortable working at pace in a scaling environment.

Hands‐on operator with the ability to build and mentor teams while remaining strategically focused.

Exceptional communication skills, with the gravitas to influence both internal stakeholders and investors.
