About the Business

We're a PE-backed group offering staffing and specialist services to the health and social care markets, operating from the UK, but our services are delivered in the UK and the USA. Our transformation agenda includes technology implementation, commercial improvement, operational excellence, AI Adoption, international expansion and new product development.

Role Overview

You'll own the Group's transformation office, effectively connecting strategy, execution and reporting, to ensure the leadership team and investors have complete visibility of progress against the Group's transformation and growth initiatives. This isn’t a project management role in the traditional sense, and while the quality and maintenance of our plans is crucial, success will be measured by whether strategic initiatives are delivered to plan. You will be responsible for challenging senior stakeholders, removing blockers, and keeping momentum high to ensure the benefits planned are realised in full. In this role, you'll work directly with the CEO and Executive Team on all strategic initiatives across the Group, working across investor discussions, commercial strategy, technology transformation, operational improvement and organisational change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a practical PMO framework across the Group
  • Translate the value creation plans into structured workstreams with clear ownership, milestones and measurable outcomes
  • Own the cadence of weekly transformation reviews, Executive reporting and monthly Steering Committee packs, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion
  • Maintain a single source of truth for initiative tracking, status and impact
  • Partner with function heads across Operations, Sales, Finance, HR and IT to drive initiatives through to completion
  • Support business cases, implementation plans and benefit tracking
  • Monitor progress, challenge initiative owners constructively where it slips, and escalate risk early
  • Keep initiatives commercially focused so they deliver measurable value rather than activity
  • Continuously look for ways to improve commercial performance, simplify processes and accelerate delivery beyond the existing transformation roadmap
  • Identify dependencies between initiatives and proactively resolve conflicts over priorities, resources and timing

Reporting & Communication

  • Synthesise complex information into concise reporting for the Executive Team, Board and investors
  • Build dashboards giving clear visibility of delivery, risk and financial impact
  • Produce Board, lender and investor-quality reporting requiring minimal revision

Strategic Projects

  • Lead or support cross-functional initiatives: technology implementation, AI and automation, process improvement, operational integration, and commercial improvement

About You

Commercially minded and curious, you enjoy solving difficult business problems more than just maintaining a project plan. You're comfortable operating with ambiguity, and equally comfortable challenging a senior leader, analysing commercial data, or building a board presentation. You ask difficult questions, enjoy bringing structure to ambiguity, and are motivated by solving problems rather than simply managing process.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–6 years in management consulting, corporate PMO, or operational transformation roles
  • Experience in a private equity‑backed business would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated success executing cross‑functional initiatives that deliver measurable commercial impact (EBITDA, margin, cash)

Skills

  • Strong programme/project management capability, structured and outcome‑oriented
  • Financial literate and able to link operational metrics to P&L and cash flow impact
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders constructively
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Confident using AI tools to improve analysis, reporting and productivity
  • Comfortable coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives

Success in the Role — First 12 Months

  • Embedded a practical PMO framework across the Group
  • Established clear governance across all strategic initiatives
  • Improved delivery discipline and accountability across every function
  • Increased pace of execution across the value creation plan
  • Built reporting that gives full transparency of delivery, financial impact and risk
  • Become a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Team
  • Made a measurable contribution to EBITDA growth, cash generation and organisational capability
