Finatal is partnering with a leading mid-market investment firm to appoint a Vice President, Transactions. Investing across both private equity and private credit, the firm is seeking an experienced deal professional to lead transaction execution from origination through to completion, while also driving strategic value creation initiatives across its portfolio.

Working closely with senior Partners, you will take ownership of complex transactions, manage external advisers, and play a key role in investment committee processes. The role also offers exposure to fundraising and co-investment activity, providing an excellent platform for long‑term progression within a collaborative, entrepreneurial investment team.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of private equity and private credit transactions
  • Structure investments, build financial models, and manage due diligence processes
  • Drive transactions through investment committee to completion
  • Manage legal advisers and external stakeholders throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Lead portfolio transaction workstreams, including refinancings, restructurings, bolt-on acquisitions, recapitalisations, and exits
  • Own transaction timelines, coordinating multiple workstreams to successful completion
  • Support fundraising and co-investment execution as required

Requirements:

  • Significant transaction experience gained in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or M&A
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and deal structuring skills
  • Proven experience managing transaction processes through to completion
  • Commercial judgement with the ability to lead negotiations and manage external advisers
  • Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Interest in investing across both equity and credit strategies; exposure to structured or special situations is advantageous
  • ACA, CFA, or a similar professional qualification is welcomed but not essential
