We're partnering with a leading Tier 1 private equity investor seeking an exceptional Interim Value Creation & Exit Programme Director to work directly within a priority portfolio company.

Working closely with the CEO, CFO, executive leadership team and PE investment team, you will lead the value creation agenda and programme management of a major exit process, helping maximise enterprise value and ensure the business is fully prepared for a successful transaction.

This is a high-profile, hands-on role requiring significant transaction experience, commercial judgement and the credibility to operate across both the portfolio company and private equity shareholder.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive key value creation initiatives ahead of exit.
  • Lead and coordinate the overall exit programme and integrated plan.
  • Align management, the PE sponsor and external advisers around key priorities.
  • Develop the equity story, business plan and value creation narrative.
  • Coordinate financial, commercial, legal, tax and operational diligence preparation.
  • Manage transaction materials, including management presentations and supporting analysis.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and drive delivery against demanding timelines.
  • Manage investment banks, lawyers, accountants and other external advisers.
  • Prepare senior management for buyer and investor meetings.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and critical decisions and drive timely resolution.
  • Provide clear reporting to the executive team and PE shareholder.
  • Candidate Profile
  • 15+ years' experience across investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, corporate development or related senior roles.
  • Proven track record leading major M&A, IPO or complex exit processes.
  • Strong understanding of the full transaction lifecycle, from exit preparation through diligence, marketing and execution.
  • Experience working directly with CEOs, CFOs, Boards and senior PE professionals.
  • Exceptional programme management, financial analysis, valuation and business planning skills.
  • Experience managing multiple senior stakeholders and external advisers.
  • Strong commercial judgement and understanding of enterprise value drivers.
  • Comfortable operating with authority in high-pressure, complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Experience within a PE-backed portfolio company, particularly across value creation or exit preparation, highly desirable.
