Role: Interim Revenue Accounting Manager

Location: Europe (UK & Netherlands, Remote/Hybrid)

Finatal is retained by a Tier 1 PE-backed SaaS Business (€150m ARR revenue) seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead billing system transformation and ensure robust revenue operations.

The Role

As Revenue Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in the evolution of revenue processes, driving the replacement of the existing billing system and supporting all monthly revenue activities. You will ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition, review and maintain billing data integrity, and provide insightful analysis to support strategic business decisions.

This role offers the opportunity to shape the revenue operations framework of a high-growth SaaS business while collaborating closely with finance, IT, and operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the billing system replacement project to NetSuite, ensuring smooth implementation and minimal disruption.
• Own the full end-to-end O2C process
• Support monthly revenue processes, ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition.
• Review supporting files for billing, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of data.
• Perform monthly revenue and cost-of-sales analytics and ad-hoc analysis for management review.
• Collaborate with the Controller to implement process improvements and enhance billing efficiency.
• Develop revenue-related account reconciliations and journal entries to support the month-end close.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Registered Accountant / Audit background is a plus.
• 7–10 years of revenue accounting experience in a SaaS business is a plus.
• Strong understanding of billing and financial processes and their impact on the general ledger.
• Hands-on experience with modern billing systems (CRM, CPQ, billing platforms) and ERP integration. Experience with NetSuite implementation preferred.
• Leadership experience with a hands-on approach to mentoring and guiding teams.
