The Opportunity:
Weβre working with a high-growth, VC-backed e-commerce business based in London that is scaling rapidly across the UK and international markets. With strong traction and recent funding secured, the business is now looking for an experienced Interim Financial Controller to bring rigour to its finance operations.
This role is ideal for a hands-on finance professional with experience in consumer, e-commerce, or digital product businesses, particularly those scaling under VC ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and implement robust financial processes and controls to support scaling operations
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital management, ensuring financial resilience
- Improve monthly investor reporting, working closely with the founders and fund
- Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and banking partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial visibility across the business
What Weβre Looking For:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Experience in VC-backed, high-growth e-commerce or consumer businesses
- Strong technical finance knowledge, combined with operational practicality
- Proven track record of implementing controls and improving financial reporting
- Confident, self-starter mindset able to work independently and partner with non-finance stakeholders
