£300–£400 per day | Outside IR35

Hybrid – Central London

A private equity-backed retail business is seeking an immediately available Interim Financial Accountant to support the finance function during a key reporting cycle. The role requires a technically strong accountant with experience in financial reporting, audit preparation, and group consolidations. Experience in retail or hospitality is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and reports
• Manage and reconcile the balance sheet, ensuring accuracy and integrity
• Support the year-end audit process, including preparation of schedules and liaising with auditors
• Produce and review group consolidated accounts
• Ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting requirements
• Assist in process improvements and documentation of financial controls

Candidate Profile:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting background with experience in retail or hospitality
• Proven experience in financial accounting, audit, and external reporting
• Confident preparing group consolidations and liaising with auditors
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Available immediately or on short notice
