Interim Data Project Manager – 12-Month Contract

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Data Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a comprehensive data strategy. This 12-month engagement is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in Agile project management and data-centric initiatives. You will work closely with a mix of technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure seamless execution, alignment of dependencies, and achievement of strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Agile Leadership : Lead two-week sprints, including retrospectives, planning sessions, and daily stand-ups.
- Stakeholder Management : Collaborate effectively with technical (2 data engineers) and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project Oversight : Manage the full lifecycle of a four-component data strategy, including dependency tracking and backlog management.
- Governance : Establish and run monthly Data Council sessions; track OKRs and strategic progress.
- Tools and Processes : Utilize Azure DevOps for project management and Git for repository management.
- Budget Oversight : Support budget tracking and monitoring as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with the ability to implement a robust structure of sprints, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Strong background in managing complex data projects, with a clear understanding of data strategy and dependencies.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, and associated project management tools.
