The Opportunity

A market-leading, Private Equity-backed international B2B services business is seeking an ambitious Group FP&A Manager to join its high-performing Group Finance function during a pivotal stage of its growth journey.

With annual revenues approaching £900m, EBITDA in excess of £250m, and operations spanning the UK, Europe and the Americas, the business is recognised as a leader within its sector.

Backed by Private Equity investors, it continues to deliver impressive organic growth alongside an active acquisition strategy, with a clear objective of delivering significant value creation ahead of an anticipated exit within the next two years.

The Role

Reporting directly to the FP&A Director, this role has been created with succession in mind.

The successful individual will have a clearly defined pathway to progress into an FP&A Director position within approximately two years, making this an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to accelerate their career within a high-growth, commercially driven environment.

The role offers extensive exposure across the organisation, partnering closely with the Group CFO, Executive Board, Senior Leadership Team and divisional finance and operational leaders.

The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the Group's financial planning and reporting capabilities while helping to build a best-in-class FP&A function capable of supporting continued international growth.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands-on.

Whilst operating at a strategic level, the successful individual will be expected to work in the detail, continually improving reporting, strengthening financial insight and driving greater consistency, automation and scalability across Group FP&A processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the FP&A Director in leading the Group FP&A function across an international, multi-entity organisation.
  • Take ownership of key Group reporting, forecasting, budgeting and long-range planning activities.
  • Deliver insightful analysis and performance reporting to the Group CFO, Board and senior leadership teams, supporting strategic and commercial decision making.
  • Partner closely with divisional finance teams and operational leaders to challenge performance, identify opportunities and improve financial visibility across the business.
  • Lead and develop a small FP&A team (1–2 direct reports), providing coaching, mentoring and technical leadership.
  • Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, creating scalable, efficient and sustainable ways of working.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes, improve data quality and leverage technology to enhance the finance function.
  • Champion a data-led approach to decision making, helping the business unlock greater value from its financial and operational data.
  • Support financial integration and performance reporting for newly acquired businesses as the Group continues its acquisitive growth strategy.
  • Contribute to strategic projects supporting value creation and preparations for a future Private Equity exit.

The Requirements

The successful candidate will be an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional with a passion for FP&A, continuous improvement and business partnering.

They will demonstrate

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or equivalent).
  • Strong experience within FP&A and/or Commercial Finance in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Previous leadership experience, including managing and developing a small FP&A team.
  • Excellent business partnering skills with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders across finance and operations.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach with the willingness to roll up their sleeves and drive improvements from the ground up.
  • Strong analytical capability, financial modelling skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experience developing scalable reporting, planning and forecasting processes within a growing organisation.
  • A passion for using data to improve decision making and operational performance.
  • Curiosity around technology, automation and emerging AI capabilities, with the confidence to introduce new ideas and challenge traditional ways of working.
  • The resilience and adaptability to thrive in an environment where priorities evolve quickly and processes continue to develop.

Experience within a Private Equity-backed, high-growth or acquisitive business would be highly advantageous.

Exposure to larger, more complex organisations within the upper mid-market or large-cap environment, particularly within B2B or professional services, would also be highly desirable.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the market's most successful Private Equity-backed businesses at a critical point in its value creation journey.

The successful individual will gain unrivalled exposure to senior leadership, play a central role in shaping the future of Group Finance and work on initiatives that directly influence business performance and enterprise value.

Alongside this, they will benefit from a clearly defined succession plan into an FP&A Director position, offering genuine long-term career progression within a business that values ambition, innovation and continuous improvement.

For an individual who enjoys operating in a fast-moving environment, embraces change, enjoys solving complex problems and wants to help redefine what a modern finance function can deliver, this represents an outstanding career opportunity.
