Finatal is working with a global asset manager that is looking to hire a Global Head of Valuations to lead across their private equity platform. This is an exciting opportunity to join an established leading private markets investor with a strong track record. The role will be responsible for overseeing portfolio reporting, valuation processes, and the operational infrastructure that supports a growing global investment platform. The preferred candidate will have had prior experience in this function at a direct private equity investor.
The Role:
- Leadership
- Define strategic priorities for the function and drive the implementation of scalable, efficient, and automated processes;
- Serve as the key coordination point for internal stakeholders, valuation committees, auditors, and external service providers;
- Portfolio Reporting
- Ensure consistency and accuracy in the reconciliation of NAV, financial data, and key performance metrics across internal and external systems;
- Valuation Oversight
- Manage the quarterly and annual valuation cycles for direct investments in close collaboration with investment professionals and external valuation advisors;
- Review and challenge valuation models (e.g. DCF, market comparables, precedent transactions) in accordance with fair value standards and internal policies;
- Act as a senior interface during audit processes and internal valuation governance reviews;

- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance systems integration, improve data quality, and ensure reliable data architecture across CRM, reporting, and analytics environments;
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation and internal controls;
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with fund administrators, tax advisors, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely execution of operational tasks;
- Act as a senior point of contact for investor operational inquiries and support capital raising efforts through tailored analytics and reporting;
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, knowledge-sharing, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
- Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in private equity operations, portfolio reporting, or valuation oversight, including team leadership responsibilities;
- Strong technical understanding of private equity structures, valuation methodologies, and regulatory requirements;
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI, Anaplan, Snowflake, or similar platforms is a distinct advantage;
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment;
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
