The Opportunity:

Finatal are currently working with a PE-backed Managed Services business, looking to embark on an impressive growth journey before exiting in 18 months. They are currently looking for a Financial Controller to support the CFO in the delivery of robust financial compliance and reporting, support the Group’s growth plans as new acquisitions are added to the business, and implement improvements in processes.

The Role:

  • Lead the operational finance team to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Implementation of robust financial systems, processes, and controls to support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Manage the monthly reporting cycle and identify areas for improvement.
  • Development of the existing team, including AAT apprentices.
  • Preparation of external reporting including audited financial statements and reporting to external stakeholders.
  • Build relationships with non-finance functions to deliver improved reporting.
  • Work closely with the CFO to develop strategies for improved cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to the Group’s development road map for Microsoft D365 and Business Central.
  • Support with preparation of budgets and forecasts.

The Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within a similar industry.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) is essential.
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in financial modelling and forecasting.
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement financial strategies that align with company goals.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and compliance with all regulatory laws and company policies.
