Finatal have partnered with a £70m turnover facilities management business entering a busy audit and reporting period. The organisation is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to support the year‑end process, prepare audit deliverables, and ensure financial statements are accurate, compliant, and audit‑ready. This role will work closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team to strengthen reporting quality, address auditor queries, and support a smooth and timely close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts and year‑end audit files
  • Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations, and documentation for auditors
  • Respond to audit queries and manage information requests
  • Support the month‑end and year‑end close process, ensuring accuracy of key balances
  • Review and improve controls, documentation, and reporting accuracy

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with strong audit or year‑end experience
  • Solid understanding of UK GAAP and statutory reporting requirements
  • Experience supporting external audits in SME or mid‑market environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines
  • Available to start immediately
