Finatal have partnered with a specialist financial services business operating in a fast-paced market seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst to join its growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes, and helping shape a more agile, data-driven finance function.
The Role
- Preparation of the monthly Business Performance Pack, including detailed analysis and commentary
- Consolidation of performance across multiple business lines, highlighting key drivers, risks, and emerging trends
- Partnering with commercial finance leaders to understand performance, standardise reporting, and ensure consistency across teams
- Close collaboration with Financial Control to understand monthly ledger activity, including payroll journals and accruals
- Analysis of exceptional spend, ensuring accurate allocation to relevant business units or project codes
- Support for annual budgeting, quarterly re-forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
- Involvement in M&A activity, with a focus on post-acquisition performance tracking and analysis
The Requirements
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in FP&A or Commercial Finance
- Experience within financial services or insurance is beneficial but not essential
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Highly motivated with a strong growth mindset
- Strong attention to detail, balanced with the ability to step back and assess the wider commercial picture
- Collaborative team player with a proactive, “can-do” approach
