Finatal are partnered with a leading software-focused investment platform looking to hire a Business Development Manager into their London office. You will sit within a high-performing origination team, and play a key role in sourcing and developing acquisition opportunities from day one. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established platform in a role with direct impact on deal flow and long-term growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, research, and qualify software businesses in line with the firm's investment criteria
  • Execute outbound prospecting across multiple channels, including email, phone, and industry conferences
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with founders and CEOs of vertical SaaS businesses
  • Track outreach activity, pipeline progression, and performance metrics using Salesforce and Outreach
  • Develop structured sourcing strategies to consistently generate high-quality acquisition opportunities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on authentic, two-way dialogue

Requirements:

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in M&A origination, deal sourcing, or outbound business development
  • A strong intellectual curiosity and genuine interest in founder-led businesses and their growth journeys
  • A proactive, “hunter” mentality with the ability to generate opportunities independently
  • Comfort with long-term sales cycles and the ability to build relationships over extended periods
  • Experience operating within a metrics-driven, KPI-led environment
