About the Role
We are supporting a growing, commercially focused SME operating within retail-facing and white label product markets. The business requires an experienced interim Management Accountant to provide hands-on support to the CFO and Financial Controller during a period of increased commercial and operational activity. This is a delivery-focused role, suited to a calm, experienced finance professional who is comfortable being close to the numbers and operating as a key member of a lean finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on management accounting support to the CFO and Financial Controller
- Produce and review management accounts, costings, and financial analysis
- Maintain tight control over costs, margins, and operational financial metrics
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Improve financial visibility and reporting quality across the business
- Support process improvement within the finance function
- Act as a reliable, sleeves-rolled-up team member in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent senior-level experience
- Strong background in management accounting within SME or owner-managed environments
- Experience in businesses supplying retailers, consumer goods, or white label products
- Calm, pragmatic, and commercially minded with a hands-on approach
- Comfortable working on-site and collaborating closely with senior finance stakeholders
