What will you contribute? As a Sales Engineer/Solutions Consultant for Trade in Europe, you will drive strategic client engagements and support the sales cycle by showcasing the value of our lending and trade finance solutions. You will own the solution proposal, ensure consistent value messaging, coordinate internal stakeholders, and often act as an Engagement Manager for complex sales cycles and executive workshops.

You bring strong product expertise in trade finance and a solid understanding of market trends, translating technical capabilities into clear business outcomes. Skills such as active listening, storytelling, problem‑solving, and empathy are essential to position yourself as a trusted advisor.

Experience working within a Financial Institution or Fintech, ideally with exposure to one or more of Finastra’s core corporate banking solutions (Finastra Trade Innovation, Finastra Corporate Channels, etc.), is highly desirable.

Responsibilities & Deliverables: Your deliverables will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Support the Working Capital Go‑to‑Market Strategy
  • Deliver best‑in‑class customer engagements by applying deep expertise in trade finance and supply chain finance. Help position Finastra as a trusted partner by clearly articulating market trends, solution value, and technology adoption opportunities.
  • Contribute to Solution Innovation
  • Work closely with Product Management, Marketing, Technology, and Delivery teams to influence and validate the product roadmap. Bring client feedback and market insights to help shape enhancements that keep our solutions competitive and future‑ready.
  • Drive Customer Adoption & Success
  • Engage directly with customers to support platform adoption and ensure an exceptional experience across their working capital journey. Identify opportunities to increase value realization, strengthen satisfaction, and support long‑term retention.

Required Experience:

  • Deep expertise in Trade Finance gained within a bank, fintech, consulting firm, or solution provider, with strong knowledge of end‑to‑end processes and working capital products.
  • Exceptional client‑facing and engagement skills, including experience with RFP responses, delivering impactful presentations, and contributing to sales strategy development.
  • Solid understanding of emerging technologies - such as Cloud, AI, and tokenization - and their relevance to trade and working capital transformation.
