The Firm operates a fully digital remittance model, relying on a Money Transfer Management System (MTMS) and integrated third-party APIs for compliance and payments. The Firm is building a strong technology and governance framework aligned with FCA systems and controls (SYSC) expectations.
About the Role: Join FINASDDEE Payment Services Ltd as we redefine digital remittances across the UK-Sub-Saharan Africa corridor. As our IT Manager, you will be a strategic architect of our operational resilience and a primary guardian of our technology governance. In this critical role, you will take full ownership of our Money Transfer Management System (MTMS) and API integrations, ensuring our digital-first model is secure, scalable, and fully aligned with FCA SYSC expectations. You will bridge the gap between technical innovation and regulatory accountability, setting the "impact tolerances" that protect our customers and ensure our long-term sustainability.
Why FINASDDEE?
- True Hybrid Flexibility: We offer a market-leading 4-day work-from-home model, with only one day per week required in our Manchester office.
- Strategic Influence: Work directly with the CEO and MLRO to build a "compliance-by-design" technology stack from the ground up.
- Total Reward: Competitive base salary (£40k–£50k) plus a 10% performance bonus directly linked to your success in hardening our IT security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Firm's core technology stack, including the Money Transfer Management System (MTMS) and integrated API services.

Business Continuity & Resilience:
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Actively identify and set "impact tolerances" for the Firm's "important business services" (e.g., the remittance transfer service itself), which is a specific FCA requirement since March 2025.
- Participate in testing of system resilience, backup, and recovery processes.
- Ensure operational readiness for service disruptions.
Regulatory & Governance Support:
- Support FCA expectations relating to systems and controls.
- Provide IT risk input to the Board and senior management reporting.
- Maintain evidence logs, access reviews, and audit artefacts for regulatory inspection.
- Responsible for ensuring systems can produce all required management information (MI) for FCA reporting, especially concerning transaction monitoring and security incidents.
Experience:
- Experience in IT operations, systems administration, or IT support in a regulated or technology-driven environment.
- Understanding of information security fundamentals (access controls, incident response, data protection).
- Experience working with third-party technology providers or SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and API integrations.
- Ability to document procedures and maintain operational logs.
- Experience in financial services, payments, fintech, or remittances.
- Exposure to FCA-regulated environments or similar compliance frameworks.
