The role
HTSI, the Financial Times multi award-winning luxury lifestyle magazine, is looking for a deputy picture editor to work alongside the picture editor. The role includes commissioning portraits and still-life photography, picture research and associated administration. You will report into the picture editor and be assisted by a picture researcher. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in a similar role on a quality consumer magazine. HTSI has 42 print issues a year as well as a website and an iPad app with daily content. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
What we are looking for
- Experience commissioning a broad range of photography
- Experience of art directing portrait photography
- Experience working on still life photography
- An expansive list of contacts (photographers, stylists, picture libraries, etc.)
- Excellent organisational, negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge of imagery usage legal requirements
