The Role
FT Professional licenses FT content to organisations across corporate, finance, government, professional services, education and media sectors. As a Sales Development Representative for Southern Europe and MENA, you will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities by pre‑qualifying leads and supporting the regional field sales team. Based in London, this role requires proactive outbound prospecting, close collaboration with sales and marketing, and a strong understanding of the FT Professional value proposition.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and build a strong sales pipeline for the field sales team through outbound calling and email outreach
- Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow‑up
- Research and engage with potential budget holders and decision‑makers
- Pre‑qualify leads and schedule appointments or call‑backs for the field sales team
- Assign qualified opportunities to field sales colleagues for further development and closure
- Gather feedback from sales managers to agree next steps and improve lead quality
- Contact existing readers to collect testimonials and supporting evidence for proposals
- Act as a bridge between marketing and sales, collaborating on campaign activity to improve lead generation
- Accurately record prospect interactions in the CRM system
- Produce weekly activity and performance reports, including challenges and successes
