The Role: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven DST Head of Global Industries Portfolio to join FT Live on a fixed-term contract. This role is instrumental in driving delegate revenue and shaping the quality of FT Live’s audiences across our Global Industries portfolio. Operating at the frontline of our delegate engagement strategy, the role offers the opportunity to influence event success through expert outreach and persuasive communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet and exceed weekly, monthly and annual delegate revenue targets
- Develop expertise in your assigned sector’s issues and agendas to better convert leads
- Conduct outbound engagement with prospective and existing delegates via phone and email
- Build lasting relationships that promote delegate retention and repeat attendance
- Collaborate with research and VIP acquisition teams to align outreach strategies
- Ensure effective use of Salesforce CRM to log and manage sales activity
- Provide support and guidance to contract Telemarketers working on your events
- Attend project meetings and team updates to report on delegate progress
- Share feedback with internal stakeholders to improve targeting and delegate experiences
- Produce regular reports and forecasts for department leads
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven track record in meeting or exceeding revenue-based sales targets
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in outbound sales, ideally within events or B2B media
- Skilled in relationship management and customer engagement
- Competency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
- High level of organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the global industries sector and its key stakeholders
- Experience supporting or managing contract sales teams
- Familiarity with the events landscape and delegate acquisition trends
