Experienced Vice President – FinTech Investment Banking

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis and insights with confidence and gravitas.
  • Expertise in processes and deal flow from origination to close.
  • Serve as a resource for others on major industry trends and develop skills in business development.
  • Understand the legal framework of transactions, including shareholder rights and key term sheet items.
  • Proven ability to analyse trading and transaction comparables.
  • Manage and understand assumptions around DCF, LBO and related valuation techniques.
  • Articulate valuation to buyers, investors, and clients; construct a valuation thesis from data and company details.
  • Seen as a subject matter expert and teach technical concepts to others.
  • Manage multiple workstreams and deals while maintaining focus; anticipate and manage upcoming tasks for deal teams.
  • Plan and strategise with senior bankers, interpret strategy/goal, and work with junior bankers to execute.
  • Develop strategic and tactical project plans; anticipate needs and potential challenges.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable under pressure.
  • Take accountability for all deliverables and ensure completion by established deadlines.
  • Support team members and broader team on various projects and challenges.
  • Utilise junior bankers efficiently; delegate effectively based on skillset.
  • Manage capacity of junior bankers and provide input on staffing calls.

General Qualifications:

  • Must have 6+ years of full-time investment banking experience in M&A.
  • Attention to detail and strong relationship management skills.
  • Strong presentation skills in both large and small group settings.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven quantitative and technical skills; proficient with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, ready to tackle complexities of any task or challenge.
  • Strong work ethic and drive with a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
  • U.K. work authorization depending on work location; no sponsorship available.

Communications Skills:

  • Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills; able to prepare high impact materials.
  • Participate effectively in both internal and external meetings.
  • Maturity and poise to work directly with client executives.
